中山大学创意写作研究中心主办的2016中山大学作家写作营于2016年10月20日至11月16日分别在阳朔、广州、江门三地举办。中山大学作家写作营是中国首个把创作、教学与文学文化交流融合在一起的写作营,由岭南基金会和江门旅游局赞助,邀请知名作家进行创作、文化文学交流和教学活动。参与作家均是所在国著名作家或译者,有三部以上作品或译作,大多都有作品翻译成别国文字。该写作营是在参照国际上写作营的各种运作方式的基础上,结合中国英语教学的需要和中国文化特点而设计的活动写作营,其融创作、文化文学交流、作家作品朗读、作者译者交流、教学活动、创意表演于一体的方式在中国乃至世界上都是别具一格。
本次写作营共邀请8位国际作家以及3位国内作家,还有1位国外实习生,以加强学生之间的互动和互学。开营期间,共有12名中山大学学生分三批驻营提供后勤服务。
11月8日,该写作营将走进中山大学新华学院,与中大新华师生文学创作爱好者一起开展系列文化文学交流和教学活动,这是该营创办以来的第二次“中大新华行”。此行由国内首个英语创意写作研究中心和中山大学作家写作营创始人戴凡教授同中山大学新华学院院长王庭槐教授共同组织,旨在探索英语教学的新途径和推动创意写作教学与创意教育的发展。
作家简介
■Larissa Boehning
Larissa Boehning, born in 1971, grew up in Schleswig-Holstein, studied cultural studies, philosophy and art history in Berlin and worked after her studies as a designer for various agencies. From 2004 to 2007, she lived and worked in Spain. In 2007 she returned with her husband and their two children to Berlin. Since the winter semester 2003, she taught at universities in Germany and abroad creative and literary writing. She was Writer-in-Residence at the Universities of Liverpool and Lancaster, in Iran and 2015 she taught at various universities in China. Her books have won numerous prizes and scholarships. His most recent book, 2014, is the novel "None of this is true, but everything is real" („Nichts davon stimmt, aber alles ist wahr“).
■Merlinda Bobis
Dr. Merlinda Bobis is a multi-awarded trilingual writer (English, Filipino, Bikol), performer, scholar, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at The Australian National University. She has published 4 novels, 5 poetry books, a collection of short stories, and more than a hundred literary and scholarly works in journals and anthologies. Her novel 'Locust Girl. A Lovesong' won the prestigious 2016 Christina Stead Prize for Fiction. Her performance works have been produced internationally. She taught Creative Writing for 21 years at University of Wollongong.
■Bárbara Colio
Bárbara Colio. Is a mexican playwright and theatre director. Her plays have been debuted in several countries of America and Europe. Most of her plays have been published. Colio has the honor to have some national and international playwriting awards. Borned in the north of her country, now she lives in Mexico City.
■Ravi Shankar
Founding editor of Drunken Boat [ http://www.drunkenboat.com ] and award-winning author, editor and translator, Ravi Shankar's 10 books include W.W. Norton & Co.’s "Language for a New Century," the National Poetry Review Prize winning "Deepening Groove" and translations of 9th century Tamil poet/saint, Andal, "The Autobiography of a Goddess." He has appeared in The New York Times, The Paris Review, on the BBC, NPR and PBS television. Winner of a Pushcart Prize, he has taught and performed his work around the world.
■George Szirtes
George Szirtes has published sixteen books of poetry, roughly the same of translation from Hungarian, plus miscellaneous other books. The Slant Door (1979) was joint winner of the Faber Memorial Prize. In 2004 he won the T S Eliot Prize for Reel, and was shortlisted for the prize again in 2009 for The Burning of the Books and for Bad Machine (2013). His New and Collected Poems appeared in 2008. His translations from Hungarian have won major international prizes. His latest book is Mapping the Delta (2016). His translations of László Krasznahorkai's novels shared the Man Booker International prize for translators in 2015.
■Rúnar Helgi Vignisson
Rúnar Helgi Vignisson is an Icelandic author and translator. He has won many honours for his writing, among them The Icelandic Translation Award for J. M. Coetzee’s Boyhood. Vignisson has translated books by many acclaimed American, English and Australian authors, such as Philip Roth, Amy Tan, William Faulkner, Ian McEwan and Elizabeth Jolley. He is the author of seven books of fiction and for his fiction he has been shortlisted for the Icelandic Literature Award and won the DV Cultural Prize for Literature. His short stories have been translated into Spanish, German, Polish and English. Vignisson is currently director of the Creative Writing Program at the University of Iceland.
■Daan Heerma van Voss
Daan Heerma van Voss (1986) is a novelist and historian. He has often been hailed as one of the front runners of his generation. He has written essays and articles for several national and international newspapers, such as NRC, Humo, De Morgen, Vrij Nederland, Das Magazin, De Morgen, De Volkskrant, Haaretz (Israel), Dissidentbloggen (Sweden), Svenska Dagbladet, PEN International, Vogue US and The New York Times. His novel Sunday Man was nominated for the Anton Wachter Prize in 2012 and The Land 32 was nominated for the Halewijn Prize and the Cutting Edge Award). Ultimatum was nominated for the Diamanten Kogel. He was also awarded De Tegel for extraordinary journalistic achievements. His work has been translated in various languages.
■Alison Wong
Alison Wong is a fourth generation Chinese New Zealander living in Geelong, Australia. Her novel, As the Earth Turns Silver, won the 2010 New Zealand Post Book Award for Fiction and was shortlisted for the 2010 Australian Prime Minister’s Literary Award. Her poetry collection, Cup, was shortlisted for the Best First Book for Poetry at the 2007 Montana New Zealand Book Awards, and her poetry was selected for Best NZ Poems 2015, 2007 and 2006. She is working on a memoir.
■黄礼孩
黄礼孩,70后诗人。戏剧创作专业毕业。曾在中山大学、北京大学读书。现居广州。诗歌在《诗刊》、《星星》、《诗歌月刊》、《诗选刊》、《上海文学》、《青年文学》、《大家》等刊发表。作品入选几十种诗歌选本。出版诗集《我对命运所知甚少》等多部。诗歌作品被译成多种外文介绍到国外。主编的诗歌选本有《70后诗人诗选》、《70后诗集》(与康城等合编)、《中间代诗全集》(与安琪、远村合编)、《新女性新诗歌》等。1999年年底创办《诗歌与人》诗刊,相继与朋友们推出“70后”“中间代”“女性诗歌写作”“完整性写作”等诗歌概念。现为广东诗歌创作委员会主任、《中西诗歌》杂志主编。
■姜淑梅
姜淑梅,1937年生于山东省巨野县,1960年跑“盲流”至黑龙江省安达市,做了20多年家属工。早年读过几天书,忘得差不多了。1997年开始认字,2012年开始写作。2013年4月起,部分文字刊于《读库1302》《读库1304》,并陆续刊于《北方文学》《新青年》等,其后出版《乱时候,穷时候》入围“2013年度大众最喜爱的图书”,《苦菜花,甘蔗芽》入围“2014年度中国好书”,《长脖子女人》获 “2015年度华文好书特别奖”。
■艾苓
艾苓,原名张爱玲。姜淑梅之女。中国作家协会会员。曾在鲁迅文学院作家班学习。历任黑龙江省绥化日报社任《绥化晚报》专职编委、绥化学院中文系任教。现为绥化市作协副主席。著有散文集《领着自己回家》、《风也穿鞋》。散文《我十五岁那年》获第十一届陈伯吹儿童文学奖。
