大学预科班课程为其九个月，每年九月份开学，皆在提高学生的英语水平以及国外教学方法的适应能力，从而达到英国大学的入学标准。
        MUPP is a 9 month course, starting in September. The course aims to improve students’ English level as well as prepare them for western style teaching methods. By the end students can reach the English standard for undergraduate studies in the UK.
 
        大学预科班分为三个阶段：The 3 phases of MUPP

• 第一阶段：英语基础提高课程。 英语基础课程中教师会根据每一位学生的听说读写能力以及沟通技巧方面进行全面的培训，帮助学生打下坚实的英语基础。
• Phase one: Foundation English. Based on students’ English level in listening, writing, speaking and reading, all-round training will be given to build a solid foundation.

• 第二阶段：雅思英语培训课程。因英国入境处要求，留英学生必须出示雅思4.0以及以上的英语成绩，特安排此阶段的雅思培训，帮助学生了解雅思，提高学生的应试能力。
• Phase two: IELTS training. As required by the UK immigration, overseas students must achieve an IELTS score at 4.0 or above to be eligible for studies. In view of this, this phase emphasizes on IELTS training and skills in taking the test.

• 第三阶段：学生成功完成第一及第二阶段，将继续进入第三阶段大学英语预备课程。完成此阶段，达到要求者，密德萨斯大学将给予学生大学英语语言证书（等同于雅思6.0的语言成绩证书），并出具录取通知书，学生可以免考雅思，直接升入英国国立密德萨斯大学本科学习；未达到要求者，可申请密德萨斯大学英语先修课程（IAE），课程结束后只要通过校内考试（无需再考雅思）即可入读本科课程。
• Phase three: upon successful completion of phase one and two, students can progress to phase three-University English preparation. In this phase students will be trained to reach the standard English requirement for undergraduate studies, and students will be awarded a certificate of University English language, which certifies their English level has reached IELTS 6.0 overall equivalent. Students can directly progress to MDXU undergraduate programmes.

        Remarks: students completing phase 2 need to take an internal test or attend IELTS to reach a score of 5.5 overall or equivalent in the internal test. Phase 3 will last for 1 month.
